You’ll learn how to guide students through slow, supported poses in group and one-on-one settings.
You’ll gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to share the benefits of Restorative Yoga while also enjoying its calming effects yourself.
In this module you will learn:
The concept of Restorative Yoga
Detailed Restorative Asanas (poses), including their benefits and variations
Pranayama (breathing) practices that compliment the practice
Tools to help you teach and aid deep relaxation
Restorative yoga history and philosophy
Scientific approach to the benefits of deep relaxation, mindfulness and stress
How to offer different prop options and variations for different bodies, injuries, and conditions
How to structure a Restorative Yoga Sequence with a variety of props
How to prepare the class environment to create a space for deep Rest
How to choose the appropriate language, tone and delivery to make the class a truly restorative experience
How to make your class inclusive and accessible
How to teach a Restorative Yoga class to groups and one-on-one
Anatomy specific to Restorative Yoga
Daily Restorative Yoga practice
